B299 Machine Rest

By using the Machine Rest B299, hit pattern inaccuracies brought on by inadequate mounting of the Ammunition Test Guns can be avoided, allowing accurate evaluation of the ammunition.

Two ground bolts direct the support, two screw springs absorb the recoil, and a hydraulic shock absorber restrains the counter-recoil.

The support has a mechanism for vertical and lateral adjusting. Handwheels are used to alter the lateral and vertical alignment. Thus, the support may be fixed at an angle.
